Details of previous work in a similar Sustainable Business Advisor role –

the Kent Sustainable Business Partnership - Enterprise and Sustainability Thanet

The EaST project was a £100k fixed term EU funded program to deliver support to enterprise in Thanet; specifically relating to sustainable development.

The diverse post responsibilities included generation of initial client contacts, arranging meetings, assessing needs and organising the delivery of the identified support. This entailed initial marketing and promotion of the project, organising a launch and 4 other events. After identifying companies support was engaged to generate diagnostic reports from which the appropriate services were brokered. As the Facilitator I was responsible for generating these appointments, interviews/audits, the diagnostic reports, identifying any support and promotional opportunities.

There were several outputs which included the identification of local enterprise to form a local sustainable business partnership and promotion of best practice within it. The support provided was in the form of education and training, environmental audits, waste minimisation and energy efficiency advice. This advice was brokered from Envirowise, the Kent Energy Centre, Business Link Kent, Environment Agency and the Kent Sustainable Business Partnership. On completion of the project the facilitation role continued as a self employed enterprise, Casa Gaia
